Get Glammed Up This Autumn

I know yet another Autumnal themed post but I couldn’t resist sharing with you this look I have created! The trendy eye look for this season is usually a mix of oranges, browns and coppers so thought I would ATTEMPT to have a go at creating a look using these shades. I am going to be showing you a glam, bronzy, autumn inspired makeup look and I hope you enjoy it! Firstly can I point out that at no means am I makeup artist, I am still learning but I love experimenting so please forgive me if this looks horrendous to you!

Firstly I put on my foundation, which is Shiseido Lasting Liquid Foundation – I love this stuff it is beautiful, with my beauty blender . Then I conceal my spots with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, which has great high coverage!

Then I move on to my eyes and for that I’m using my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette which is perfect for Autumnal makeup looks! Firstly I take salted caramel in the crease and just above as I want it to be my transition shade. I’m then going to darken about 2/3 of it with milk chocolate in the crease, after that I am making the outer 1/3 or my eye a lot darker with triple fudge. Of course I am blending like crazy throughout these steps as that is probably the only thing I do know how to do lol! I add a little more of triple fudge to darken the outer corner more and blend blend blend. I didn’t want to use a copper shimmer as I didn’t think it paired well with the orangey salted caramel so I choose creme brulee (a coppery shade) and marzipan (champagne) and applied them on top of each other mixing the tones to create a shimmer that went nicely with all the other shades. I popped this on the rest of the lid and blended everything out. My lower lash line was a combination of triple fudge closest to the lashes and salted caramel.

Using the same trusty concealer, I concealed under my eyes to make the area brighter (my fav part!), added some winged eyeliner with the Maybelline Master Ink- Matte and some mascara (Maybelline Lash Sensational) to finish the eyes off, I was really proud of how they turned out!

Then I moved onto my skin, I took the Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer which is such a nice shade I LOVE it and bronzed my cheeks up taking a bit on my forehead too, considering I’ve lost all my tan now this is necessary! Then a lil bit of Sleek blush in rose gold of course (Nars Orgasm dupe) to the apples of my cheeks and then the WHAM highlighter…for that I choose Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate; which gives a gorgeous golden glow so I thought it went nicely with this look!

After my skin was finished I did my eyebrows, because my eyes were quite dark anyway and I didn’t want to go full out with my eyebrows, I wanted to keep them as natural as possible. For that I used Collection Colour Lash clear mascara and Benefit Goof Proof pencil -this combo is just AMAZING! And then last but not least is my lips, unfortunately I do not own a dark, vampy, wine colour which is what I really wanted to use, instead I wore a mixture of MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in Tranquillity and Kat Von D EVLL in Lolita II. I think it matched the whole makeup look well, so I wasn’t too bothered!

And that’s the finished look. I hope you get inspired and try to recreate this look yourself, if you do please let me know- my Instagram and Twitter is @lifeastillyrose ! I know this post was slightly different to the usual but if you enjoyed it please do comment I always love hearing your feedback 🙂

Hey, I was trying to do the eye look and I was wondering if you had any tips to get the strong pigment with the shimmer shades on the lid?

    • October 21, 2016 / 4:42 pm

Hey well personally I don’t use anything other than a Mac eyeshadow primer. But I’ve heated if you spray a flat brush with Mac fix plus then you get more pigment. Hope that helps!xx
