Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
So finally I thought I’d give it a go after being so sceptical about the idea of using something other than a makeup wipe to remove my makeup!!! It has opened up a whole new world of taking off my makeup and… I love it! I knew that it was ‘bad’ to use a makeup wipe but I haven’t really noticed anything horrendous that has happened to my face over the years of using them everyday- a makeup wipe is a makeup isn’t it? But then I used a cleanser for the first time EVER and found that it removes all of the make up and didn’t take nearly as much time using a makeup wipe would! You’d think makeup wipes are quicker at removing the makeup part but trust me its not, rub this cleanser around your face then wash it off and BAM makeup gone, there’s no rubbing till your face is red raw or pulling at your eyelashes until eventually they fall out!
So here it is Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser- it’s seriously good.
What I like most is that it contains naturally active ingredients that really sooth and calm your skin like, rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and an essential oil. These are all really good natural ingredients so it makes me feel good putting it on my face as its not jam packed full of chemicals (like a makeup wipe!) I have noticed that it leaves my skin feeling visibly glowy as well as smooth and blemish free! I started trying this when my skin had just started to breakout and it really helped to clear it up!
I use two pumps if I have a full face of makeup on, if not one is enough which is what I use in the mornings if my face is feeling extra greasy. The texture is quite thick and takes some time getting used to. I use the Liz Earle muslin cloth at night with hot water just because I find its easier to get rid of the makeup, it also opens the pores and removes any impurities. I use cold water in the morning as I want my pores to be closed to help minimise the amount of grease my skin produces throughout the day.
Overall this is so worth the money, I think the price is reasonable and not too expensive at around £15 you can’t go wrong! I would suggest buying the clothes as well as they are really useful. I just find it gives me much better results than using a makeup wipe, however I do occasionally use one! Go and buy yourself one and I bet you’ll love it as much as I do! I’m sure it’ll be very sad the day I run out, I hope this won’t be for another good few months!
