Today I shall be talking about the wonders of the brand new Garnier Rose Water range, which had been shouting out to me every time I saw a pretty pic of it on Instagram. We all know Garnier’s Skincare range is hyped about due to the famous Micellar Cleansing Water and the release of the Micellar Gel Wash recently, therefore I was SO intrigued when I saw they had a huge range of Natural Skincare products coming out. And let me tell you…I was pleasantly surprised!
I am always a bit sceptical about trying low priced, drugstore branded skincare as I am concerned that the amount of chemicals (silicones and parabens – which this range does NOT include!) that go into them, is harmful to my skin. However, I have been cleverly reassured by the informative packaging of the products, what each ingredient actually contains/means. For example: ‘ROSA DAMASCENA’ is Rose. Overall the packaging is lovely, it’s pink and pretty which gets a thumbs up from me, and it’s informative.
Some Fancy Facts:
- 96% OF INGREDIENTS ARE OF A NATURAL ORIGIN
- THE REMAINING 4% ENSURE A GOOD SENSORIALITY AND GOOD PRESERVATION OF THE FORMULA
- 0% PARABEN, SILCONES, SYNTHETIC, COLOURANTS
Ooo I love this stuff. I’ve never really been a fan of cleansing milks as they require you to soak a cotton pad in the product then smear it all over your face, which hadn’t quite appealed to me before! However, this particular product is so easy to use. I would recommend using one of the larger sized cotton pads though, as it will be a lot easier. I found that it took my makeup off SO well, especially my eye area which it wiped utterly clean! This product is also great for my sensitive skin as it gently removed the makeup without rubbing my face raw with a makeup wipe – which used to leave my skin very red. The Cleansing Milk also feels super nice on the skin afterwards, due to it being moisturising. It’s definitely a keeper.
The Toner in the Rose Water range is also very gentle and good for sensitive skin – I don’t feel like it’s irritating my skin in any way, which is a con of some of the previous toners I’ve tried. In fact I genuinely feel it working it’s creepy moisturising powers – I don’t know how Garnier do it, honestly. I prefer this to the Micellar Water because I notice more positive changes to the skin when I use this – like less redness (which is always a tick in my boxes!). The Toner is used after the cleansing milk and it’s great at removing the last layer whilst still leaving the skin plumped and soft.
The final step of the new skincare regime I have been trying out for the past week is the Botanical Day Cream. It’s safe to say I LOVE THIS too. I wasn’t expecting it to be so moisturising and creamy. It really feels like it’s getting down into each layer of the skin and replenishing it with moisture. My skin also feels very soft after using this, which is always a bonus in skincare. I have tested this during the day (as the name suggests) and under makeup and have been very impressed. This moisturiser is perfect under makeup, it doesn’t make my skin look oily in the slightest – if anything it looks like a am glowing from within (literally!), and it stops my makeup clinging to the dry patches on my face. I will definitely carry on using this underneath my makeup and as an everyday night and day moisturiser as it’s honestly great!
Overall, I have gotten on very well with the Rose Water range (clearly). Garnier also have a Honey Flower range (for dry skin), an Aloe Vera range (for normal to combo skin – which I’d love to also try) and a Green Tea range (for combo to oily skin). So all in all, there’s something for everyone!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Just a lil’ disclaimer- *All truthful opinions were my own and I bought these products with my own money!*. I won’t be posting many blog posts in the next couple of weeks as my exams kick start this week (AHH), so that will explain my absence for a while.
