Damnn…are we a whole week into 2017 already?! It’s crazy at how quickly time flies by, without realising your in a new year, new month and a new day. There have been a few old(ish) fashion trends that have creeped their way into 2017 and only now have I felt the desire to experiment with them, and there have been a few that I am totally new to and adore. At the moment I’m unsure about what the future holds for trends this year, so I thought I’d write about the ones I am loving right now – hopefully another post will be coming your way soon.
Let’s jump straight on into it as I am aware of how long my previous post was (CLICK HERE TO READ)!
Boy do I love these pretty lil’ thangs. Topshop have bought out some of the cutest tees with diagonal ruffles across the body and on the shoulders. If styled right they look so chic and pretty. Ruffles were fairly big last year and have managed to creep their way into 2017 however I don’t know how long they’ll stay! To view this top click HERE.
I’m not talking any old loafers, I’m talking the loafers. The ones Gucci bought out earlier on in the year and almost every high street fashion label bought out a complete rip off version of them, which was fine for me as I didn’t have £800 to spend on them! I managed to snap up a pair of these smart but casual gold metal bar loafers from New Look in the sale for…are you ready for this?…£11! I’ve wanted these for almost the whole of last year but couldn’t justify spending ridiculous amounts on them, but when the trend started to blow up, many more places were selling them, yippeeee! Or otherwise know as ‘The Alexa Chung style’ collar who the fashion icon herself, queen of the collars, loves to rock a victorian-esque collar. I am obsessed with them! I think they are so flattering, I love wearing anything with a high/turtle neck so why not add a little ruffle and frill?! I have a few blouses and tops with the ruffle collar and I intend on getting many more, they are perfect for Winter. To view a very similar top to one of my own click HERE!
Ever since watching Izzy Bizu on the BBC Music Awards last year I fell completely in love with her outfit – a sheer mesh top layered over a triangle lace bra, it looked so cool, trust me. Even the pretty ones with flower embellishment, polka dots or lace look so nice. I can see this trend definitely growing within the next few months.

This is something that has been fashionable for a while now but I was always so sceptical about buying into to the look, it’s quite a statement for myself and I just didn’t have the guts to rock it! However now it’s the new year…as cheesy as this may sound…I have found my self more daring to try things that are slightly outside my comfort zone and I have to say now, I LOVE bell sleeves! I have two items that resemble a bell sleeve one is a beautiful lace top (click HERE to see it in a outfit post) and the other is more of a wide sleeve rather than a bell sleeve, nether the less I love them! Click HERE to view a similar example of a bell sleeved jumper.
Those were all main trends that I have been loving right now, lets see if they hold their place this year! If not I’ll probably still be obsessed with them as they are all just so darn good! I hope you enjoyed this post and that your new year is full of wonderful things!
Please answer this question down below if you have the time! – What is your favourite trend out of the 5 listed above?
