COLLABORATION with rosetintedpics who has a stunning blog, she has also done a post about her favourite autumnal lipsticks so go read hers after!
As we all know and hopefully accepted by now, Autumn is starting to arrive, which means dark, mauve, berry toned lips are coming back! YAYY! I do love a good dark berry lip, so today I shall be sharing with you a few of my Autumn classics that I know for a fact I will be wearing all season, and probably still into spring because they are that nice. Shall we take a look?…
My perfect autumn lips are: Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm (SULTRY 225), NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme (Abu Dhabi & Rome), Kat Von D- E.L.L.L (Lolita II) and Yves Sain Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy (Juicy Grapefruit- 3).The Revlon colour bursts are so lovely, they claim to be matte but aren’t actually that matte, therefore they are not drying at all, in fact slightly moisturising! The colour is like a ‘deep fuchsia berry’, I love to wear this all throughout the autumn/winter as it’s quite a fun colour. The only down side to these is that they are hard to apply if your using a dark colour, as after a while the point starts to fade which makes the application and precision more difficult. Nether the less these smell amazing and I love the non matte ones too!
NYX, NYX, NYX, what have you done to me… I am totally hooked onto this brand, now I’ve found out how amazing the Soft Matte Lip Cremes are I expect all their products are just as brilliant! The formula to these little guys are amazing, it says it in the name, they are soft and give off a velvety feel. Again not drying in the slightest which is perfect for the colder months, as there’s nothing worse than having flaky, cracked lips especially whilst wearing a matte lip- GROSS! The colours I got are so nice, Rome is more of a berry/red nude (picture doesn’t do it justice!) whereas Abu Dhabi is the perfect autumn brown nude, it’s quite subtle which I like.
Then we have two contrasting products, lets start with the luxurious Yves Saint Laurent glossy balm, this is beautiful. It smells good, is so nice on and it looks the bomb.com, what more could you want! This has no pigment to it other than a pretty sheen/gloss, its great for ‘no makeup’ makeup days and is vital when those lips get chapped, I mean GIRL if you wack out the YSL balm and your friend pulls out the Carmex- who’s laughing now?! Lastly is my Kat Von D ‘longest name ever so I’m not going to write it, LOL’ lipstick, this colour is gorgeous and so autumnal, it’s like a burnt red/nude. The formula is insane, it seriously is everlasting I couldn’t get over it when I first tried it!
Thanks for reading my lovlies see you next time! Oh and don’t forget to check out rosetintedpics blog for her version of this, you won’t be disappointed her photos are amazing!
