This summer me and my dad spontaneously decided to book some flights to go to Madrid, Spain for a four night city break. It was so nice, however since it was August it was SO hot, like literally so hot, the temperature increased in the evening so even then I had to dress lightly. I thought I’d show you what I wore across the four days we where there as I tried a little harder since we weren’t at the beach everyday!
UPDATE: If any of you are taking a lil’ trip to Madrid this summer then find out what the top 15 places to visit are HERE. Trust me, I’ve been to most of these places and they are so worth the visit! From the best museums to parks, this very helpful website has you all covered.
Day 1 (day)
On the first day we had an early flight booked so we could make the most of the day ahead, therefore I couldn’t dress in my usual trackies, I had to make sure it was something comfortable but stylish at the same time as I would be wearing it all day. For that I chose my new favourite discovery, a culotte jumpsuit from Bershka, I absolutely love it. It’s so comfy and keeps you cool because you literally feel like your not wearing trousers. What more can you want! It also has a keyhole cut out on the back which I think looks pretty. To go with that I wore my Office sandals/Birkenstocks paired with my trusty Primark shoulder bag.
Day 1 (evening)
That evening we went to see Flamenco dancing at the world’s number 1 place to go! It went with a three course meal so I had to look well dressed, therefore I decided to wear a dress. This is a double layered, dotty dress from H&M, it kept me cool but looked classy too. Worn again with my Office sandals and Primark bag. My jewellery was all given to me by my mum; quote bangle, bracelet with blue stone and daisy ring.
Day 2 (day)
The second full day in Madrid was a hot one so I had to dress appropriately. 6for this I wore a mustard, tassle, cami top from New Look, which is such a nice colour! For shorts I recently brought these black lightweight shorts from H&M, I’m in love with them because they are just so perfect, they’re not hot at all and look smart also. The material is unusual, it’s a woven modal blend with a matt silk finish. Again I’ve worn this with the same shoes and bag, you can tell I had to pack lightly!
Day 2 (evening)
For that evening I decided to wear my purchase from that day which was these khaki culottes from Bershka, who seem to be really on point with the culotte trend at the moment, which by the way I’m loving if you hadn’t already guessed! With this I wore my white floaty bardot top from Topshop which is so pretty but is no longer available online as it was from last years collection. For shoes I wore some white Birkenstock’s, WOW Tilly really stepping outside your comfort zone! And again my beloved Primark bag that goes everywhere with me.
Day 3 (day)
Yet again another extremely hot day so I chose to wear a lightweight black playsuit from H&M, it has a thin material and is super comfy. Unfortunately my sister passed it down to me therefore I don’t reckon it’ll be sold anywhere now but I wish it was as I absolutely love it however it’s coming to the ends of its wear now because its had to be sewn back into shape 🙁 ! I styled this with a straw hat that I brought off the street markets and to no surprise the same shoes and bag!
Day 3 (evening)
This was my last evening spent in Madrid and we decided to visit the Prado museum and go for a delicious Paella. I’m wearing my purchase from the day before, a white, cropped, loose shirt from Zara, which is really nice material, so soft and comfy but not too hot. I paired this with my black H&M shorts, white Birkenstocks and Primark bag. Also I’m wearing some super cute sunglasses from Coconut Lane (for 20% off use the code ’tillyrose20′) which I’m obsessed with, as well as my straw hat.
That’s everything that I wore apart from on the last day I wore the same culotte jumpsuit to travel home in. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I wore thank you for reading and please feel free to comment your opinions!
