Here in the UK we’ve had a pretty hot weekend, it was so lush but I ended up burning so badly though. I would like to share what fun things I got up to as I had a pretty action packed weekend so whats not best than to do a little weekend diary with you all!
Saturday AM- So to start off the day me and my dad went to do a little bit of shopping for summer, we went to Office and brought some Office Birkenstocks for only £18 which is amazing. We then shopped around, I got most of my clothes from H&M which have a really good summer collection this year, I was impressed (if you’d like to see a summer clothing haul then comment below!).
Lunch– For lunch we sat in Costa and had a little sandwich and cake, I think me and my dad could be the most loyal customers Costa has, we just always go in there!
Saturday PM– After we shopped till we dropped (it actually wasn’t a big shopping trip we where just tired because of the heat ect) we sporadically decided to buy some towels and go lie on the beach which was lovely. The beach where we live is fairly nice, I mean it’s nothing compared to the Caribbean but at least there is a fair amount of sand. Miraculously I read a bit of my book in the sun, only because I have to for English but suprisingly I don’t mind it, it’s a classic novel: Enduring Love by Ian McEwan. Then we just tottered home and had a scrumptious BBQ, my dad made me the most amazing burgers that I didn’t manage to get pic of urgh!
Sunday AM– On the second day of the weekend we went to a lovely seaside town called Southwold, there we hired some bikes, mine was a cute vintage bike that I loved and we cycled around the town, up to the pier and down to the old fisherman’s ports. It was so nice to get out and be in the fresh air all day.
Lunch- My dad took me to an incredible fish shack where we had an awesome fresh fish platter, it was so nice. We sat in the prettiest garden and had a nice lunch out, makes a change from Costa!
Sunday PM- Our lunch was fairly late and by the time we’d finished I was ready to call it a day with the bikes, my poor tired legs couldn’t cycle much more, plus we hadn’t really had a break from the sun at all! So we went home and got that feeling of sheer tiredness after spending all day in the salty windy air, anyone else get that feeling? Overall I had a lovely sunny weekend, burning my skin away and cycling till my hearts content!
Thank you for reading today’s slightly different post, if you enjoyed this type of chatty post then please let me know and I’ll do more.
