My Day to Day Skin Care Routine

Skin care is something I take very seriously, not to the point where I’m spending £50 on a moisturiser, I just like to use things that I know will help my teenage problematic skin! I haven’t yet spent more the £20 on a skin care product but I guarantee very soon I will be as I’ve had my eye on a few things recently! So today’s post is just to share with you what I use on my skin every day and products that work best for me. Just before we get on to it I’d like to share with you what type of skin I have and that is, combination. The worst in my opinion as I get dry cheeks but an oily t-zone, it’s so annoying to manage so that is why these particular products have worked really well for me…

From left to right: Clearista Refining Gel Pen, Quick Fix Mask, Lush Enzymion Moisturiser, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, Garnier Micellar Water, Boots Face Wash, Clearista Retexturizing Gel.

So firstly to take off my makeup at the end of a really long day at school, I use my all time favourite, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. It is so good for sensitive skin as it has all sorts of natural active ingredients in and does an amazing job of removing all types makeup including waterproof, honestly you need this in your skin care routine its only £14! If you want to find out more about why I love it then click on the link to my Review of Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish.

After that, a new step that has recently crept its way into my everyday routine, that is the Clearista Retexturizing Gel, a product I have definitely fallen in love with. It is basically a really good face scrub with Jojoba Esters (beads) and a high standard formula. It is designed reduce the appearance of a wide range of skin imperfections and resurface the skin. I can honestly say my skin has felt much smoother, looks glowy and I do not see as many bumps and rough patches on my face. I was kindly sent two of Clearista ‘s amazing products for free and they have given me a 20% off code (INSTACLEAR) to all my Instagram followers, so if you are not already following me my username is @lifeastillyrose, go check me out!

Then whilst I am in the shower I use Boots’ Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash, this is very good for my oily t-zone areas but since it’s a foam I don’t like to use it on my cheeks. I like the fact it refreshes and helps to keep my skin looking clear and healthy, it is all thanks to the tea tree and witch hazel for maintaining a low amount of spots! This product has been used throughout my family for years which in my opinion says a lot, my mum has always brought it for me and encourages me to use it, as should you all- its super  cheap anyway!

Then once I’m out of the shower I like to use a face mask maybe once a week, recently I’ve been loving the Quick Fix Facials Calming Clay mask for sensitive and red skin, which is the skin type I have. My redness on my cheeks drives me crazy and I am yet to find a product that fully gets rid of this but this does a great job and I can see instant results just not lasting results. I can expect this though from the fact that it is only around £3 from Tescos, overall it is still a very good product and would love to try their other masks!

Next another new product kindly sent from Clearista is the Refining Pen, which is great for targeting certain areas. The concept is a bit tricky as it’s in a small doafer applicator which makes it hard to cover larger areas. On the good side, it works so well at reducing my fine lines and different pigmentation in the skin, I think it’s a good product however I prefer the Retexturizing Gel more. Again for 20% off just make sure your following me @lifeastillyrose on Instagram and use the code INSTACLEAR at the checkout.

And last but not least one of my favourite moisturisers ever, is Lushes Enzymion as it’s targeted at those with oily skin. It leaves your skin feeling moisturised but slightly matte at the same time which is perfect for me as I still need a lot of moisture in certain areas. I adore this so much and do not go a day without wearing it, wherever I go, it comes with me! Using Lush products makes me feel good as I know I am supporting the campaign for testing on animals and that all their products are made from natural ingredients so I more a less know what is going on my face. I recommend this product to all those with oily skin or even if you don’t have that skin type but hate the greasy feeling of moisturisers this will be perfect for you!

All these products look great! I wish I didn’t hate the smell of tea tree products as I really want to use it because it’s so bendi coal for my face. I love using the Clean&Clear Daily exfoliater as it keeps my spots to a minimum. Lovely post!
